DukeTalk partly broken (?)

6812b744 (r9772) breaks Duke Talk for the "Cosmetic Duke" mod. forum thread, post #25 actually.

Since CON handling is not affected by that commit, an EDuke32 bug seems more likely to me than a CosmDuke shortcoming being revealed.
